How To Find Us

The Festival Hub is on Sandygate Square off Sandygate, Burnley. BB11 1RN.  Google map here.

Once again many thanks to Burnley Borough Council for waiving car parking charges on Saturday at the King Street (no. 13) and Finsley Gate (no. 15) car parks.  (All council car parks are free on Sunday.)  Download a Burnley Car Park Map.

King Street (no. 13) – the Festival is approximately 5 minutes walk from here. Leave the car park heading towards St James’s Street, turn left onto Sandygate just before the traffic lights at the end of the road.

Finsley Gate (no. 15) – why not take a stroll along the towpath to the Festival. Join the towpath at Burnley Wharf on Manchester Road and it is about a 5 minute walk.  Don’t forget to pop in to the Weavers’ Triangle Centre at the Wharf, where you can step into the past with a Victorian schoolroom, an Edwardian bathroom and an authentic weaver’s dwelling – you can even have a go at weaving yourself! Fun awaits the whole family with a children’s corner, winding trails and tricky quizzes.

During the Festival the top half of Sandygate will be closed to traffic, as will the top end of Wiseman Street, and parking around the site is extremely limited. However, the site is a short distance from the car parks mentioned above and is only a 7 minute walk from the centre of town, so there are lots of options.  If you are a Blue Badge holder with accessibility needs please get in touch and we will advise you on the best option, email for information.

Also, on Queen’s Lancashire Way, directly opposite the bottom of Sandygate is a store car park. The store has closed down and currently (15/8/18) there appear to be no parking charges for this car park.  It is a 2 minute walk away from the Festival, but do please double check that no parking charge notices have appeared, since we wrote this, before leaving your car.
